Two-day Dental Implant Placement Seminar

Sep 11-12, 2015

Features immediate implant and sinus elevations utilizing a cadaver specimen

There are 25 million edentulous patients and each year this number increases by 500,000. Every minute in the U.S., a patient loses a tooth. The number of implants placed is nowhere near keeping up with the potential demand. To help meet the demand, this implant placement seminar offers highly practical training in the essentials of this procedure.

Each participant will receive instruction through intensive lectures and hands-on workshops that utilize models and a medical cadaver, along with other materials. See below for complete details:

Day 1: Lecture followed by practical work with models

  • Discuss the need for Implantology and how it relates to your practice
  • Basic surgical technique (flap design, suturing, and more)
  • Socket preservation
  • Ridge splitting and ridge augmentation
  • Lateral and crestal approach sinus lifting
  • Immediate implant placement
  • Healed site implant placement
  • Implant restorative protocols

Day 2: Cadaver workshop (Two doctors per cadaver)

  •  Implant placement in previously grafted site
  • Implant placement in previously grafted site
  • Immediate placement in an extraction site
  • Socket preservation
  • Lateral approach sinus lift
  • Crestal approach sinus lift
  • Additional ridge splitting and augmentation

By the end of this implant placement seminar, each participant should be able to:

  • determine when grafting is necessary for implant placement,
  • graft a socket,
  • raise the sinus floor,
  • place implants in an extraction site,
  • place implants in a grafted site, and
  • properly design and suture flaps for implant placement or grafting.
