This dental continuing education journey showcases magnificent National Parks and splendid Scenic Byways in the northwestern USA and the unbelievable Canadian Rockies in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. Yellowstone, the Tetons, Glacier, Banff National Forests, Parks and Monuments too numerous to count await you on this 12-day international ride, designed for 10 couples.
The days are long, the crowds are small and the wildlife is very active this ride is a photographers dream. So come join us!
Please note: This ride covers 3500 miles. You must be an experienced rider for this adventure.
Day 1: Fly into Salt Lake City and shuttle to Provo. Your hotel room at the Hampton Inn will be waiting for you and the new 2013 bike of your choice is there to be checked out before our kick-start dinner that night near our home at Sundance Resort.
Day 2: Our early start on the road takes us from Utah to Wyoming into Idaho and back into Wyoming. We pass through Jackson, Wyoming, and end up at the five-star Jackson Lake Lodge overlooking Jackson Lake and the Grand Tetons where we dine in the Mural Room and spend our second night.
Day 3: We continue our journey throughGrand Teton National Park and then through Yellowstone National Park and stop for lunch in West Yellowstone, Montana. We then travel into Ennis, Montana, where we spend the night after another five-star meal at one of my favorite restaurants there.
Day 4: This day takes us across the big sky country of Montana toGlacier National Park where we spend the night in East Glacier at the famous Big Tree Lodge.
Day 5: Today we cross the border into Alberta, Canada, and travel to Waterton National Park for our night at the unique Prince of Wales Hotel at the tip of Waterton Lake.
Day 6: Now we travel across southern Alberta from Waterton National Park as we follow the famous Cowboy Trail into Calgary and on into Banff National Parkwhere we spend the night at the beautiful Buffalo Mountain Lodge.
Day 7: We spend the entire day on the Icefields Parkway. We travel from Banff to Jasper National Park and Columbia Glacier. We then reverse and head back to Lake Louise for our night at the historic Deer Lodge on the edge of Lake Louise with a visit to nearby Moraine Lake.
Day 8: We now leave southern Alberta and cross into southern British Columbia. We follow the head waters of the Columbia River crossing a huge lake on a ferry to arrive at Kaslo for our stay at the recently restored Kaslo Hotel.
Day 9: Leaving Kaslo we soon board another ferry to cross another huge lake on our travels to the US border and south through Idaho to Sandpoint. We spend the night on the edge of the lake at the Lodge at Sandpoint.
Day 10: This day we continue south through Idaho through Montana then back to Idaho over the Bitterroot Mountains to our stay on the banks of the Salmon River.
Day 11: From Salmon, Idaho, we travel back into Wyoming along the west slope of the Teton Mountains for our stay in Alpine, Wyoming.
Day 12: This final day takes us back down the border of Wyoming and Idaho and into Utah for our last night and farewell dinner in Provo. Rest well for your flight home on Sunday and back to work.
