This is a workshop for people considering a transition in practice, both “buyers” and “sellers”, and at whatever stage you might find yourself in the process. Whether you are new to the profession and weighing your practice options or strategizing your end game. This course will arm you with the tools and metrics necessary to create your successful practice transitions.
If you have a spouse or key team member who will be an integral part of your implementation team, we encourage their participation as well. We will use metrics to assess the opportunities and risks in a practice transition, and to create a new awareness around the daily conversations, relationship development, and continued data collection which is beneficial to ongoing operations management, affective and effective relationship management and the general oversight and well-being of all persons connected with the practice.
This course will focus solely on all the stakeholders within a relationship-based practice in transition. This includes creating appropriate conversations and the construction of uniquely individualized plans, which form around core concepts of patient care and welfare, team participation, and is not just limited to the owner and a potential owner asset transfer.Rather, high value is placed on the relationship and leadership transfer, among dentists and team in the process of patient-centered transition. This focus can benefit the patients, doctors (buyers and sellers) and team involved in the process. The goal is to create a win-win for all stakeholders.
Participants will learn how to:
- support, explore and clarify each participants vision of a future transition
- become familiar with a range of useful metrics
- explore successful models of financial arrangements and transfer of ownership
- support sustaining relationships
- explore developing timelines
- gather a support team for your transition
- garner the tools necessary to develop an individualized plan for your transition
