Morton Rosenberg, D.D.S., is Head, Division of Anesthesia and Pain Control in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) and an Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg, received his D.M.D. from Tufts. On completion of a residency in Anesthesia at Tufts Medical Center where he was Chief Resident, he was appointed to the full time faculty in the Department of Anesthesia where he became Director of Clinical Anesthesia Services and Medical Director of Operating Rooms. A nationally recognized leader and educator in dental sedation and anesthesia He is actively involved in the teaching and training of medical anesthesia residents and nurse anesthetist students, and oral surgical, pediatric, periodontal, GPR, and dental anesthesia residents as well as dental assistants and hygienists in all aspects of sedation/anesthesia in medicine and dentistry. He is involved in continuing education for physicians and dentists in the clinical application of nitrous oxide-oxygen, enteral, intravenous and intramuscular sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Rosenberg has published extensively in the medical and dental literatures He is the co-editor of Medical Emergencies in Dentistry, has authored 19 chapters and numerous papers in peer reviewed anesthesia, medical and dental journals on subjects ranging from the basic science of anesthetic agents to the introduction of newer techniques and drugs.
