Dr. Gurinsky was born in Dallas, TX and attended college at the university of Texas in Austin. He continued his education at Baylor College of Dentistry where he attained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Following graduation, Dr. Gurinsky entered a three year residency in Periodontics and Dental Implants. Upon completion, he earned his Masters and certificate in Periodontics from the university of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has held faculty appointments with the UTHSC San Antonio, the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine and the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Gurinsky has extensive research experience and has published and presented his findings in a number of papers and presentations. He was the lead researcher of a new soft tissue graft material and is being sponsored by Astra Tech to research implants in smokers. He has been voted as one of the top implant surgeons in the country and a top dentist in 5280 magazine. Dr. Gurinsky is the past president of the Rocky Mountain Society of Periodontists and holds several leadership positions in the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, currently serving as a member of the board of directors.
When not working, Dr. Gurinsky is an avid music and sports lover. Running, traithlon, basketball, tennis, skiing are just a few of his favorites.
